Speaker Gashi meets Kazakhstan’s Ambassador Burshakov

Skopje, 13 December 2024 (MIA) – Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi met Friday with the Ambassador of Kazakhstan to North Macedonia, Satybaldy Burshakov and expressed confidence that the meeting would serve as an excellent opportunity to exchange views and experiences on several issues of mutual interest.

Gashi voiced satisfaction that the bilateral relations between North Macedonia and Kazakhstan are characterized by friendship, mutual understanding and common interest of further expanding and strengthening ties, particularly in the economic sector, Parliament said in a press release.

“The two countries share very similar positions on key international issues. North Macedonia actively supports Kazakhstan's initiatives in international organizations, with a particularly strong multilateral collaboration within the UN and OSCE,” Gashi noted.

Ambassador Burshakov expressed satisfaction with the meeting, stressing Kazakhstan's role as a key trade partner of the EU and its support for North Macedonia's EU integration aspirations.

He also praised the excellent bilateral relations so far and expressed readiness to deepen cooperation in all areas, with particular focus on the economy, culture, and other sectors.
