PM Mickoski held phone call with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick

Skopje, 10 April 2025 (MIA) – Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski had a phone call yesterday with Howard Lutnick, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, to discuss the Macedonian-American strategic and economic partnership.

It was emphasized that the strategic partnership with the United States is of top priority of the government as well as the importance of American support for a stable and prosperous Balkans, primarily on issues of vital importance for economic cooperation, he said.

“Yesterday I had a phone call with United States Secretary of Commerce, Howard Lutnick – a friend of Macedonia and an established supporter of our country, who has already visited Skopje. In the spirit of the close Macedonian-American partnership, we confirmed our strong relations that are also friendly filled with mutual trust. I also emphasized that the strategic partnership with the United States is of top priority of the government. I highlighted the importance of American support for a stable and prosperous Balkans, primarily on issues of vital importance for economic cooperation. We agreed to continue to develop the strategic and economic partnership of the two countries,” PM Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.
