Skopje, 8 May 2026 (MIA) - The "Plazma - Youth Sports Games" including over 27,000 children from all across the country will open at Macedonia Square in Skopje on Friday.

The games include various sports disciplines at a local, regional and national level, with the best athletes advancing to the international finals in Split, where they will compete with peers from the region.

Macedonia joins the largest amateur sports event for children and young people in Europe for the first time this year.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, Minister of Sport Borko Ristovski, Skopje Mayor Orce Gjorgjievski, Plazma Youth Sports Games President Zdravko Maric and Federation of School Sport of Macedonia President Elena Mickovska are set to address the event's opening.
