Skopje, 5 March 2026 (MIA) - The evacuation of all Macedonian citizens from Israel who expressed willingness to leave was successfully completed this afternoon, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski said.

“The Ministry fully coordinated the evacuation process of Macedonian citizens from Israel, who this afternoon departed from Sharm el-Sheikh for Skopje on a government aircraft,” Foreign Minister Mucunski wrote on Facebook.

According to him, the process required a significant effort from diplomatic and consular missions, strict adherence to security procedures and continuous coordination among the relevant institutions.

He also noted that the procedure for signing a contract with a company, which is expected to begin operating evacuation flights for Macedonian citizens from other affected areas in the coming days, has been finalized, in coordination with the diplomatic and consular missions.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade will continue to be available 24/7 to provide Macedonian citizens with any necessary assistance and support,” Mucunski said in the post.
