Skopje, 20 April 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, on the occasion of the great Christian holiday – the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ – Easter, on behalf of the Government and on his personal behalf, extended greetings to Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia HH Stefan, the clergy, the monastic community and all Orthodox believers. 

"The Resurrection of our Savior is an eternal symbol of the victory of life over death, of light over darkness. May this Easter bring spiritual joy, peace and blessings to every Macedonian family. The Macedonian Orthodox Church – Ohrid Archbishopric is a pillar of our spirituality and national identity. Your role in preserving faith, tradition and moral values ​​is of invaluable importance for our society," reads the greeting.  
 
At a time of rapid social change, technological progress and global pressure on traditional values, it adds, the Government remains committed to safeguarding the roots of our society and creating conditions in which family, morality, upbringing and spirituality will be strengthened.

"We live in difficult times of challenges and trials, and I am fully aware that many of our citizens are troubled by the same problems and concerns. I want to point out that we must all work together for the progress and well-being of every single person, and the path to secure a future is not at all easy, but I am firmly and unwaveringly determined to walk it together. Let us change things together, fight against uncertainty, against the blows that shake us, and stand behind the values ​​​​in which we believe," says Mickoski. 

On that path, he adds, faith in God and care for one's neighbor are not just a personal commitment, but the foundation of a strong and responsible society.

"May the light of the Resurrection be a guide in our joint efforts to build a just and humane society. May God protect Macedonia. Christ is Risen!," PM Mickoski said in his Easter greeting.
