Macedonian nationals evacuated from Israel to arrive in Skopje on Thursday evening

Skopje, 5 March 2026 (MIA) - Macedonian nationals who have been evacuated from Israel and are set to return to North Macedonia through Egypt, are expected to land at the Skopje International Airport around 8 pm on Thursday.
In a press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said the evacuees would be welcomed at the airport by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Zoran Dimitrovski.
Regarding other countries affected by the Middle East conflict, 505 nationals have contacted the embassy in Abu Dhabi, 31 in Kuwait, 14 in Bahrain, and 141 in Doha until now.
The repatriation of the Macedonian nationals from the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait is expected to take place in the coming days through flights departing from Saudi Arabia. The evacuation process is realized in line with a devised plan coordinated by competent institutions, the ministry said in a press release.
It also calls on all Macedonian nationals to contact the diplomatic-consular offices or the ministry SOS line for assistance.
