Skopje, 24 April 2026 (MIA) — Greek singer Ioannis Lakis will perform Friday evening in Strumica and Saturday evening in Skopje, the Embassy of Greece announced.

According to organizers, Lakis will perform at the City Gallery in Strumica at 8 pm Friday and at Public Room in Skopje at 8 pm Saturday.

Known for his expressive voice and artistic style, Lakis will be accompanied by Manolis Basis on bouzouki and Panos Kosmidis on piano. The repertoire features entechno (art-folk) and laïko (popular folk) songs, which blend traditional Greek musical elements with popular styles.

"Through these concerts, the Embassy of Greece aims to further promote cultural exchange and strengthen the bonds of friendship between Greece and North Macedonia, highlighting the universal language of music as a bridge between peoples," organizers said.

Admission to both events is free, but the public is required to RSVP online for the Strumica and Skopje performances. mr/
