Foreign Ministry: Macedonian citizens urged to avoid non-essential travels to Iran
- With the security situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran deteriorating, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia calls on Macedonian citizens who are currently there to leave the country when security conditions arise.
Skopje, 13 January 2026 (MIA) – With the security situation in the Islamic Republic of Iran deteriorating, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of the Republic of North Macedonia calls on Macedonian citizens who are currently there to leave the country when security conditions arise.
Also, the Ministry urges the citizens to postpone all non-essential travels to Iran.
New assistance capacities have been opened, said the Ministry, including SOS phone number +389 75 268 736; the e-mail address globalsos@mfa.gov.mk , and the landline of North Macedonia’s Ankara diplomatic office +90 539 456 97 10.
