Skopje, 24 April 2025 (MIA) - Deputy PM and Transport Minister Aleksandar Nikoloski met Thursday in London with UK Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories, Stephen Doughty, discussing the bilateral strategic partnership that has been confirmed through economic and political cooperation.

Deputy PM Nikoloski highlighted the economic cooperation and investments as key in strengthening the friendly bilateral relations, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

On the country's plan for economic development, the Deputy PM noted that investment projects would lead to economic growth and development for Macedonia and the region, especially through modernization of transport corridors.

Interlocutors also exchanged opinions and practices in the field of new technologies and application of new systems in the railway and passenger sectors.

Nikoloski also highlighted the strategic partnership within NATO and the fact that Macedonia has demonstrated a high degree of security, which is crucial in attracting new investments.

The UK visit aims to strengthen the strategic cooperation between the two countries, economic and trade cooperation, with a focus on infrastructure investments, reads the press release.
