Culture workers' union to stage a protest outside Ministry of Culture
Skopje, 22 April 2025 (MIA) - The culture workers' union will stage a protest on Tuesday outside the Ministry of Culture over unpaid wages and, as stated, attempts to violate collective agreements.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism announced that workers in cultural institutions will receive their salaries, including the required increase, within the first two working days after the holidays. The delay, they stated, was due to the process of aligning salaries.
The Ministry of Culture and Tourism informed that the delay was caused by the alignment of salary calculations with the Ministry of Finance.
On Monday, the opposition SDSM demanded the resignation of Minister of Culture Zoran Ljutkov, citing, as they put it, the chaos he has created in the field of culture.
