Skopje, 15 April 2026 (MIA) — Skopje’s Macedonia Street will turn into an open-air stage Wednesday from noon to 10 pm, featuring live art, street theater and musical performances as part of an annual event held to celebrate World Art Day.

The fourth in the "Centar Streets" series of yearly events, the celebration will feature "living statues" from the Teatrosk production company. It will also include live painting by student artists from AUE-FON University, DJs and various street shows.

"The main goal is to create a space for young artists to present their work to the public," organizers said in a press release.

They said the project also aims to promote cultural activity in the city's public spaces.

"Centar Streets 4" is organized by the Teatrosk citizens’ association with the support of the Municipality of Centar. mr/
