Another burn patient to return home after medical treatment abroad

Skopje, 10 April 2025 (MIA) - Another patient who received medical treatment in Bulgaria after the Kochani nightclub fire is set to return to the country on Thursday, the Ministry of Health said in a press release. 

Currently, 55 patients remain hospitalized abroad. 

The condition of the patients receiving treatment abroad remains unchanged, including the condition of critical patients. 

Ten patients with burn injuries are currently receiving treatment in hospitals in the country, including four at the "St. Naum Ohridski" hospital, one each at the Toxicology Clinic, the Clinic for Pediatric Surgery, the Pulmonology Clinic, the "8 September" City General Hospital, as well as two patients at the Sistina private hospital. 

The Health Ministry notes that the burn patients are kept under continuous monitoring, in order to provide the best possible treatment, as well as further rehabilitation.

The March 16 fire that broke out in the Pulse nightclub in Kochani killed 61 people and almost 200 were left injured.
