Kiev, 21 April 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Air raid alerts were triggered across Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, just hours after an Easter ceasefire expired.
The Ukrainian Air Force warned of a threat of Russian air strikes in the border region of Sumy, as well as in Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhya, Donetsk, and Dnipro.
Explosions were reported in several locations, though there was initially no information on damage or casualties.
Russian President Vladimir Putin unilaterally declared a ceasefire covering 30 hours over Easter Sunday, lasting until midnight Moscow time (2100 GMT Sunday).
Both Moscow and Kiev traded allegations of breaches throughout the truce, with both sides reporting mass drone and artillery attacks.
