Skopje, 5 April 2026 (MIA) — Describing Easter as the most joyful day in the Christian faith, Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski sent an Easter message Sunday on behalf of himself and the government to Christians celebrating the holiday according to the Gregorian calendar. 

"May the news of the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ fill your hearts with faith, peace, love and new strength," Mickoski wrote in a Facebook post.

"The message of Easter calls us to rise spiritually and overcome all divisions," he wrote.

The prime minister urged citizens to remain united during challenging times.

"Let the spirit of this holiday inspire us to build bridges of understanding, strengthen mutual trust and work together to make our country even more beautiful, more prosperous and happier," Mickoski added. mr/
