Skopje, 2 February 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski and President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova met Monday with Macedonians living and working in the United Arab Emirates.
“Macedonians in the diaspora represent an important bridge between their homeland and the countries where they live and work, especially in the fields of economy and trade. Together with President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova, today in Dubai we met with Macedonians living and working in the United Arab Emirates – successful professionals who, with their knowledge and experience, make a significant contribution to the local economy,” Mucunski wrote in a post on his official Facebook page.

Mucunski said the meeting discussed the potential for deeper cooperation between the two countries, with a focus on the economy and trade, as well as the diaspora’s role in the process.
“I informed them about the activities of the Government and the Ministry related to the diaspora, including the strategy for the promotion of cooperation with the diaspora which is nearing completion, as well as opportunities for their more active involvement in development and economic initiatives in the country,” the Minister added.
Minister Mucunski is on a working visit to Dubai from Monday to Thursday, where he will participate in the World Governments Summit.
