Skopje, 19 February 2026 (MIA) - Parliament is to continue its 85th session Thursday, with the agenda including the draft law amending the Law on the Legalization of Illegally Constructed Buildings, proposed by ruling party MPs, and the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on the Minimum Wage, proposed by the opposition. Both laws are to be adopted under a shortened procedure.
With the amendments to the Law on the Legalization of Illegally Constructed Buildings, submitted by the parliamentary group of VMRO-DPMNE and the coalition, an additional five years are proposed for the legalization of illegally built structures, i.e. an extension of the law’s validity period, instead of 15 years, the law would apply for a total of 20 years, until 3 March 2031.
Under the draft law amending and supplementing the Law on the Minimum Wage, proposed by the SDSM parliamentary group and the coalition, the minimum wage in the country would be set at €600.
MPs will also discuss a draft resolution on fair trial standards in the international proceedings against former leaders of Kosovo’s institutions, submitted by DUI.
In addition, the Committee on Transport, Digital Transformation, Environment and Physical Planning and the Legislative Committee will hold sessions today.
