Skopje, 31 May 2026 (MIA) - Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski will visit Paris for the next two days to take part in the Paris Cyber Summit 2026, a major international forum focused on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital transformation.

The summit programme is focused on strategic discussions on current security challenges in cyberspace, the development of artificial intelligence, and strengthening the digital capacities of states, the Ministry of Digital Transformation said.

During the visit, Andonovski will take part in a ministerial roundtable at the French Senate titled “Building Cyber Capacities in the Balkans under Permanent Threat,” alongside ministers and senior officials from the region. The discussion will focus on strengthening cyber resilience, inter-institutional cooperation, protection of critical infrastructure, hybrid threats, and alignment with EU cybersecurity standards.

At the roundtable, Andonovski will present Macedonian experiences, progress achieved, and current priorities in the field of cybersecurity, with special emphasis on the implementation of strategic and legal frameworks, strengthening institutional capacities, and advancing regional cooperation as a key prerequisite for greater resilience and an effective response to modern cyber and hybrid threats.

During the official visit to Paris, Andonovski is also scheduled to meet French Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs, Anne Le Hénanff, where participating delegations will present their key achievements and discuss opportunities for enhanced cooperation with French institutions, exchange of best practices, and joint initiatives in digitalisation, cybersecurity and AI.

According to the Ministry, the participation of the Republic of Macedonia in the Paris Cyber Summit represents yet another confirmation of the country’s commitment to advancing digital transformation, strengthening cyber resilience, and deepening international cooperation in areas crucial for secure and sustainable digital development.
