Belgrade, 2 November 2024 (MIA) – Macedonian citizen Vasko Sazdovski (1979), is among the 14 victims of the accident that occurred Friday in Novi Sad, as learned by MIA from the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which has notified the Macedonian embassy in Belgrade.
According to MIA’s Belgrade correspondent, 14 people died in the tragic accident when the concrete roof above the entrance of the Novi Sad railway station collapsed on Friday. Moreover, three people are reported to be in critical condition.
According to the Novi Sad police, 13 people have been identified, and their families were informed immediately following the identification.
The Novi Sad police reported that one female victim remains unidentified because of her injuries, though her identity is anticipated to be confirmed soon.
According to the University Clinical Center in Vojvodina, there have been no new victims, although three of the injured remain in serious condition.
The Serbian government has declared Saturday a national day of mourning.
