Deputy PM Sali meets DG ENEST Western Balkans Director Superti in Brussels
- First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali met Monday with Valentina Superti, Director for the Western Balkans at the Directorate General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) as part of his visit to Brussels.
Skopje, 2 February 2026 (MIA) - First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of European Affairs Bekim Sali met Monday with Valentina Superti, Director for the Western Balkans at the Directorate General for Enlargement and Eastern Neighbourhood (DG ENEST) as part of his visit to Brussels.
“The meeting discussed North Macedonia’s progress in the implementation of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan, with the country showing sustainable progress in key areas such as the rule of law, public administration, and digitization of services. Additionally, an assessment was provided over the progress in the drafting of the reform roadmaps and the ongoing coordination with the European Commission,” Sali’s Office said in a press release.

The Deputy PM highlighted the Government’s commitment to advancing reforms and maintaining steady support from European partners, as well as its readiness to tackle practical challenges, such as implementing the Exit/Entry System for transporters.
As part of the cooperation with the Cypriot presidency of the EU Council and the European institutions, it was reiterated that North Macedonia is committed to continuing with swift and sustainable steps toward integration into the European Union, ensuring stability, prosperity, and sustainable development for its citizens.
