Skopje, 9 April 2025 (MIA) - Defense Minister Vlado Misajlovski and the Chief of the Army General Staff, Major General Sashko Lafchiski, visited Wednesday the Operations Command of the Macedonian Army, the Defense Ministry said in a press release.

As part of his visit, the Minister was briefed about the Command’s activities, as well as future development plans. Misajlovski commended the members of the Command and the units within its composition, adding that they are a real example of the Army’s professionalism and commitment to the security of the citizens. “The Ministry will continue its efforts to support the development of the Army, especially when it comes to the process of its modernization and equipping,” Misajlovski said. 

The structure of the Operations Command brings together the 1st Infantry Brigade, Air Brigade, the Military Police Battalion, Signals Battalion, Reconnaissance and Intelligence Battalion, Special Forces Battalion and the NBC (Nuclear, Biological and Chemical) Protection Company.
