Skopje, 24 August 2026 (MIA) - In the past 24 hours, a total of 33 wildfires have been registered in the country, including four that are still burning and four are under control. 25 have been extinguished, the Crisis Management Center (CMC) said Monday.

Wildfires are registered in the Municipalities of Studenicani and Zelenikovo - near the villages of Morane, Vrtekica and Ramni Gaber with a branch towards the villages of Paligrad and Vrazhale in the Municipality of Zelenikovo, in the Municipality of Makedonski Brod - near the locality of Vidush and the villages of Dragov Dol and Lokvica, in the Municipality of Kicevo - near the villages of Tajmište and Darda and in the Municipality of Gostivar - near the village of Gorna Gjonovica.

Wildfires in the village of Ilinden, near the village of Bigla in Delchevo, near the village of Tudence in the Municipality of Jegunovce and in the Municipality of Vrapčishte - near the villages of Lomnica and Gjergjevishte, are under control.
