PM Mickoski to attend cornerstone laying ceremony of Mother Teresa University’s new campus in Skopje
- The cornerstone laying ceremony for the new campus of Mother Teresa University in Skopje will take place Saturday at the university’s location, the former Ilinden barracks, in the presence of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, who will address the event.
Skopje, 7 March 2026 (MIA) - The cornerstone laying ceremony for the new campus of Mother Teresa University in Skopje will take place Saturday at the university’s location, the former Ilinden barracks, in the presence of Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski, who will address the event.
Mother Teresa University said that the event will also be attended by Minister of Education and Science Vesna Janevska, the university’s rector Bekim Fetaji, First Deputy Prime Minister Bekim Sali, Chair Mayor Izet Mexhiti, Deputy Minister of Transport Kaltrina Zekoli-Shaqiri, as well as representatives of the academic community, state institutions and diplomats.

“This is an important project that marks the start of a new phase in the country’s educational infrastructure and scientific work. The construction of the new campus will act as a bridge between quality education and labour market needs, ensuring modern conditions for new generations of students and researchers. The project demonstrates our commitment to creating an environment where innovation and professionalism come first,” Mother Teresa University said.
