Nikolovski: Electronic customs data exchange with Bulgaria to give new impetus to Green Lanes

It is our shared responsibility to turn good concepts into fully functional systems in practice, Boban Nikolovski, Director of the Customs Administration, said in his official remarks at the informal meeting of Customs Directors General, organized by the Central European Free Trade Agreement (CEFTA) Secretariat in Brussels.
“The Memorandum of Understanding on the electronic exchange of customs data with Bulgaria we signed today in Brussels is a proof of our strong commitment to improving the operation of Green Lanes through electronic data sharing even before goods reach the border,” Nikolovski said, according to the press release issued by the Customs Administration on Thursday.
At the meeting, the Directors General and the Directors of the CEFTA Secretariat and the Transport Community discussed the next steps in implementing the memoranda of understanding signed in Brussels as part of the Green Lanes initiative, as well as the further expansion and deepening of the initiative between CEFTA and the European Union at a strategic level.
