Skopje, 20 March 2026 (MIA) - A large majority of citizens get news and follow content on TV (72.4%) and social media (69.4%), shows a survey conducted by "Market Vision" on 1,200 respondents between December 27 and January 25, commissioned by the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services.
Sitel, Kanal 5, Alsat M and Telma are the most watched TV stations. Half of the respondents said they do not listen to radio, with Antenna 5, Kanal 77 and Macedonian Radio 1 mostly used among those who do.
According to the survey, more than half of respondents visit web portals, with a majority saying they never read the press (66%) or listen to the radio (53%).
News programmes are the most common content followed by respondents (31%), along with films (20%), TV shows (19%) and sports (12%).
Almost two-thirds of respondents (74.2%) say TV news is abundant with negative content, with almost 60 percent agreeing that TV news programmes speculate with information that is not fact-checked, indicting people before they are found guilty by a court.
