Skopje, 30 March 2026 (MIA) - Restoring the Skopje-Budapest flight is a significant step towards improving regional connectivity, economic cooperation and tourism development, says Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski upon arriving in the Hungarian capital for a political-economic visit on Monday.
"Considering the free travel available to Macedonian citizens, mobility will be facilitated and cultural exchange will be stimulated. Such initiatives represent an important step in strengthening international cooperation and approximation to European standards," PM Mickoski posted on Facebook.
Promoting bilateral relations, economic cooperation, and current regional and European issues will be in the focus of Mickoski's meeting with Hungarian counterpart Viktor Orbán. The PM will also address a business forum in Budapest entitled "Hungary - North Macedonia Business Cooperation Day" to establish new contacts and look into opportunities for deepening economic cooperation between Hungarian and Macedonian companies.
