President: I expect more favorable business climate, stable growth and better living standards in 2026

Skopje, 17 December 2025 (MIA) – We live in the midst of global geopolitical and economic challenges. The post-Covid recovery period, inflation pressures and the energy crisis have left deep marks in the economies around the world, including ours. Being part of the regional, European and global market, the Macedonian economy is exposed to these turbulences. Thus, the role of the country is key in creating adequate projections for rapid restructuring, development and systemic support of businesses. I sincerely wish and expect 2026 to aim at creating a more favourable and more competitive business climate that will result in stable growth and better standards for the citizens, President Gordana Siljanovska-Davkova said Wednesday before the 2025 Macedonian Quality awards were handed out by the Association of Chambers of Commerce (SSK), under the President’s auspices.

The recognition is no accidental gift, she said, it is a logical consequence from strategic thinking and systemic investment in creative human capital and in modern techniques and technologies.

“We recognize, affirm and award values such as standard, quality, responsibility and commitment. The awards reaffirm that success comes as a result of vision, perseverance, knowledge and courage. The companies we award personify the maturity and potential of the Macedonian economy to create sustainable models of growth, to generate innovations and to maintain a dynamic but stable business climate,” stated Siljanovska-Davkova.

Eleven companies were presented with the award at the ceremony, which was also addressed by SSK head Goran Gjorgjievski.
