Ohrid, 13 February 2025 (MIA) - Macedonian tourism offer is promoted at the tourism and travel show in Tirana, opening the opportunities for regional tourism and business networking of countries in the Western Balkans.

"An excellent place for promotion and increased visibility of destinations that offer unique travel ideas. An opportunity for new partnerships and enhancement of existing ones, as well as learning about innovations, technologies and strategies that shape tourism in 2025," said the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism.

The focus of this year's Tirana fair is placed on sustainable socio-economic and environmental progress, with the Western Balkans well positioned to turn into a leading destination for sustainable tourism.

"This requires strengthening of partnerships, promotion of eco-initiatives and preservation of culture, accompanied by adoption of global standards that are aligned with the European and international sustainable tourism certificates, obtained with EU support, adds the agency.
