Skopje, 14 February 2025 (MIA) - According to data from the State Statistical Office, the turnover index in industry dropped by 11 percent in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023.

The total turnover by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was higher in Durable consumer goods by 8.2 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 1.3 percent, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 1.8 percent and Capital goods by 26.2 percent.  

The turnover index in industry, total, in December 2024, in comparison with November 2024, dropped by 12.8 percent, while in the January-December 2024 period, in comparison with January-December 2023, the turnover index in industry dropped by 10.8 percent.

The turnover index in industry on the domestic market in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, dropped by 0.9 percent.  

The turnover in industry on the domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was higher in Capital goods by 3.9 percent, Durable consumer goods by 8.0 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 0.7 percent, but lower in Intermediate goods, except energy by 5.5 percent.  

The turnover index in industry on the domestic market in December 2024, in comparison with November 2024, rose by 3.4 percent, while in the period January-December 2024, in comparison with January-December 2023, the turnover index in industry on the domestic market dropped by 2.0 percent.  

The turnover in industry on the non-domestic market by Main Industrial Groupings in December 2024, in comparison with December 2023, was higher in Durable consumer goods by 7.4 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 0.7 percent, lower in Capital goods by 26.4 percent, but in Intermediate goods, except energy was on the same level.  

The turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market in December 2024, in comparison with November 2024, dropped by 17.4 percent, while in the period January-December 2024, in comparison with January-December 2023, the turnover index in industry on the non-domestic market dropped by 13.8 percent.
