Skopje, 5 February 2026 (MIA) - Parliament Speaker Afrim Gashi attended Thursday the National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, a traditional and significant event that brings together political, religious and social leaders, focusing on the values of dialogue, mutual respect, and moral responsibility in leadership, Parliament said in a press release.

According to Parliament, Gashi’s participation in the event was an opportunity to strengthen the friendly relations with the United States and affirm the country’s role as a partner in international cooperation.

“The event was also addressed by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, while the participation of the Speaker of Parliament was an opportunity to strengthen the friendly relations and affirm the role of the Republic of North Macedonia as an active, present, and respected partner in international cooperation,” Parliament said.
