Skopje, 22 January 2025 (MIA) - Police officers detained late Tuesday a 23-year-old Bangladesh national near the border with Greece, who was smuggling a group of eight migrants from Nepal, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release. 

The migrants have been transferred to the Vinojug reception-transit centre, and criminal charges have been filed against the migrant smuggler. A pre-trial judge from the Skopje-based Criminal Court has then ordered a detention measure for a period of eight days.
