Skopje, 14 March 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday the Government is working on investments in infrastructure and health worth several billions of euros without providing any details.
"I expect good news for the Macedonian citizens in April and May, a government-to-government agreement with a very powerful European country measured in billions of euros in infrastructure and health, accounting for over ten percent of the GDP," PM Mickoski told reporters.
On infrastructure links with Albania, the PM appealed to Tirana to finish the planning of the Durres section that would complete the Corridor VIII railway.
According to him, the construction of the highway section leading to the Kjafasan border crossing is progressing well, whereas problems related to the UNESCO-protected areas being addressed.
"We will do our part but I do not see any actions on the part of Albania regarding the railway link with Durres. The defense ministers of Albania, Bulgaria, Italy and Macedonia signed an agreement last July in Washington regarding the completion of Corridor VIII. We are the only ones who are acting on this, I cannot see the same from the others," said Mickoski.
