Skopje, 7 February 2025 (MIA) — The bomb threats emailed to schools in Skopje and several cities across the country proved false, the Ministry of Interior said in a press release saying its bomb squads had finished all searches and found no explosives anywhere.

According to the release, law enforcement authorities had formed an operational headquarters immediately after being notified of the threats so they could carry out "efficient, planned and coordinated action."

Police officers then evacuated students from several elementary and high schools nationwide to perform the bomb checks. No bombs were found.

In the release, the Ministry of Interior once again urged members of the public to refrain from spreading disinformation and speculations regarding the bomb threats. mr/
