Skopje, 27 January 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told a 360 Stepeni interview on Monday evening that the nature of the meetings held during his visit to the United States was at “a higher level than ever before”.

“The delegation was as modest as possible, and if you compare it to previous delegations it really was as modest as it could be. The nature of the meetings was at a higher level than ever before, considering the nature of the visit, the contents, and the people that I met with, and this can be demonstrated and proven not only during the visit, but also the period after,” Mickoski said.

Mickoski added that the meetings in Washington focused on the enhancement of bilateral cooperation with the United States, investments in the country, as well as the country’s ambitions to be a part of the European family.

“In Washington we spoke about the significance of Macedonia as a country in the region, we spoke about our ambitions as a Government, our project, the deepening of bilateral cooperation with the US, investment opportunities in our country, the Euro-integrations and our ambition to be a part of the European family, and the challenges that we have faced and are still facing,” Mickoski stressed, adding that he “absolutely” expects to have the support of President Donald Trump’s team in regard to the country’s EU path.
