Skopje, 4 February 2026 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski held a meeting Wednesday with Chinese Ambassador Jiang Xiaoyan during which they exchanged views on deepening the relations between North Macedonia and the People’s Republic of China.

“The relations between our two countries are based on mutual respect, understanding, and cooperation. In the past years they’ve been seen continued development in various areas, including the economy, culture, education, and infrastructure,” Prime Minister Mickoski wrote in a post on his official Facebook profile after the meeting.  

In the post, the Prime Minister wrote he believes there is significant potential for further enhancement of bilateral cooperation, especially, he said, through concrete projects and initiatives of mutual interest that will contribute to economic development and improvement of the well-being of the citizens in both countries.
