Skopje, 16 July 2024 (MIA) – President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova met Tuesday with World Bank Country Director for the Western Balkans, Xiaoqing Yu. Interlocutors expressed satisfaction with the ongoing cooperation and partnership focused on economic growth and the overall development of Macedonian society, the President’s Office said in a press release.

Highlighting the World Bank’s invaluable role in the past three decades, President Siljanovska Davkova extended gratitude for the continuous projects and initiatives aimed at key areas, the business climate, employment, social protection and promoting sustainable green growth.

“The two exchanged views on the Country Partnership Framework 2024-2028, which represents an excellent opportunity to further deepen mutual cooperation, directly contributing to overcoming the current challenges and improving the quality of life of Macedonian citizens,” the press release reads, adding that President Siljanovska Davkova expressed readiness to actualize these goals, further promote the country’s economic interests and utilize future potentials.
