PM says wages in education sector to increase

Skopje, 6 November 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski confirmed Wednesday that wages in the education sector would increase.
"Yes, wages in elementary and secondary education are set to rise by five percent as of this month," PM Mickoski told reporters.
He added that an additional increase of seven percent would follow next April, and another 7-10 percent in April 2026.
"Afterwards, wages will rise by 7-10 percent in April 2027 and by 10-12 percent in April 2028. Therefore, the wages in education will rise by 46-60 percent during this period and reach a decent level," said Mickoski.
