Skopje, 30 January 2025 (MIA) - A meeting on coordination of donor assistance took place in the Ministry of European Affairs on Thursday, including representatives of the EU Delegation, diplomatic missions and international partners, aimed at strengthening cooperation and improving efficiency in the distribution of donor funds in support of the Reform Agenda and North Macedonia's European integration.

Minister Orhan Murtezani said the scope of the Ministry of European Affairs has been enlarged since its transformation from the Secretariat for European Affairs.

"Besides the accession process and coordination of IPA and EU funds, the Ministry is now also heading the coordination process of the Growth Plan and the Reform Agenda. Therefore, it is crucial to enhance the organization of coordination facilities, avoid overlapping of activities, and ensure increased efficiency in the use of the donor support," said Murtezani.

The meeting tackled the issue of improving the coordination and more efficient streamlining of donor assistance, with the Ministry reaffirming its commitment to strengthening the partnership with donors and setting up a sustainable and efficient coordination system, the Ministry of European Affairs said in a press release.
