Skopje, 2 April 2025 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski says he is ready to meet with opposition SDSM leader Venko Filipche if he really has a plan and is willing to help.

In response to a reporter's question on Wednesday, Mickoski said he is available at any time and will adjust his schedule to hear out Filipche's plan, after the SDSM leader said earlier he would put forward a concept for a new societal and political dialogue. 

"I said in one of my statements that this is a serious topic, and serious topics require discussion. It is a bit inappropriate for me to discuss things through the media. I said that if there is a plan as they announced, I am ready to meet the SDSM leader so that he explains the plan, so that we hear the plan because these are serious times, I am a serious person, serious things are at stake. If he really has a plan and is willing to help, I am available at any time, I will adjust my schedule, at midnight, after midnight, whenever he says I will hear out his plan and see if anything can be resolved in that plan," said Mickoski. 

Asked whether there will be a common position with SDSM regarding election of an acting mayor of Kochani so that there would be no crisis in the city after the tragic fire as well as the resignation of the mayor Ljupcho Papazov, Mickoski said there has been no discussion with the councillors over a potential candidate, but an acting mayor would absolutely be elected, without any dilemma. 

"There has been no discussion with the councillors over who could be elected and receive the support of the councillors," Mickoski said after Wednesday's opening event for a "Magna Mechatronics" plant in Shtip.
