Skopje, 3 February 2025 (MIA) - Chief Prosecutor Ljupcho Kocevski said Monday the case involving a 20-year-old drunk driver who killed a 22-year-old girl in downtown Skopje last week would be treated as premeditated crime in the field of traffic safety.
"Evidence collected thus far point to a premeditated crime. Therefore, the Public Prosecutor's Office is conducting proceedings for premeditated crime in the field of traffic safety," Kocevski told a press conference.
He assured the public and the victim's family that the procedure would be efficient and the PPO would seek the maximum penalty.
Negotino resident Frosina Kulakova was killed by Vasil Jovanov from Skopje, who drove drunk, didn’t have a license and ran a red light while the young girl was crossing the street. He has been placed in 30-day detention. He had previous records of drug trafficking and another traffic accident, but did not serve time.
