Kiev, 29 January 2025 (MIA) - Russian President Vladimir Putin is afraid of negotiations on ending war in Ukraine, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said last night.
“Today, Putin once again confirmed that he is afraid of negotiations, afraid of strong leaders, and does everything possible to prolong the war,” Zelensky wrote on the platform X, after the Russian President ruled out direct talks with his Ukrainian counterpart.
Earlier today, Putin stated that the conflict in Ukraine would end within "two months or less" without military aid from its Western allies. Ukraine currently fears a drastic reduction in US assistance with Donald Trump’s return to power.
Today, Putin once again confirmed that he is afraid of negotiations, afraid of strong leaders, and does everything possible to prolong the war. Every move he makes and all his cynical tricks are aimed at making the war endless.

“They (Ukrainians) cannot survive, they wouldn’t last even a month without money and, above all, ammunition. Everything would be over in a month and a half or two,” Putin said in an interview with Russian state television.
Russian president added that negotiations to end the conflict in Ukraine are possible but ruled out direct talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, whom he considers “illegitimate.”
