Skopje, 24 October 2024 (MIA) - Deputy PM and Minister of Transport Aleksandar Nikoloski met Thursday with Romanian Ambassador Adela Monica Axinte, discussing possibilities of establishing a Skopje-Bucharest flight and links to Ohrid’s St. Paul the Apostle Airport.

Interlocutors also discussed ongoing political and economic ties between the two countries, with focus on economic cooperation and investments.

Minister Nikoloski presented the Government's agenda for the realization of capital projects, with focus on infrastructure projects, and stated that the executive is particularly focused on quality and rapid connectivity with Central European countries. They also discussed establishing a direct airline Skopje-Bucharest and links to Ohrid’s St. Paul the Apostle Airport, the Ministry of Transport said in a press release.

Talks also focused on implementation of reform processes as part of the country's integration path in the EU, with Nikoloski stating that the Government is fully committed to ensure rapid economic development, rule of law and fight against corruption.

Interlocutors highlighted the good bilateral relations and the need to intensify cooperation in activities of mutual interest, reads the press release. ssh/ik/
