Skopje, 22 November 2024 (MIA) - Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski said Friday he hopes for a change in the position of the banks regarding the conditions for the distribution of the Hungarian loan funds to the economy, so that businesses get a lower interest rate.
"We are still negotiating, I cannot say what is their position. There is a new position after today's meeting and I hope we will see a change in the coming days. The Government wants to see lower interest rates for companies. The banks want it to be 3.25 percent, we are now approaching zero, we'll see where we get," PM Mickoski told reporters after the opening of the Macedonian evening within "Wine Vision by Open Balkan" fair in Belgrade.
The PM added that the goal is for businesses to get as lower interest rate as possible.
