Skopje, 5 March 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held separate meetings Wednesday with the Ambassador of Sweden, Ami Larson Jain, and the Ambassador of the Czech Republic, Jaroslav Ludva.

"During the meeting with the Swedish Ambassador, I expressed my satisfaction with the relations between the two countries, which are continuously being enhanced and strengthened. The upcoming intensive bilateral agenda is expected to bring additional momentum to the cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on further advancing economic cooperation and trade relations. We expressed our readiness to expand collaboration with specific projects and technical assistance within the framework of the established bilateral cooperation with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida)," Mucunski posted on Facebook.

At the meeting with the Czech Ambassador, Mucunski emphasized the principled and constructive role of the Czech Republic in our region, as a member of the united European family.

"The focus of the discussion was also on the upcoming third session of the Joint Committee on Economic Cooperation between the two countries, scheduled for March 10 and 11, 2025, in Prague, where the Macedonian side will be represented at a high level. This regular session highlights the real investment potential in our country and opens numerous opportunities for further economic cooperation," Mucunski stated.

The focus of both meetings was also on our country's European integration aspirations and the government's determination to implement key reform processes along that path.

"We also discussed the current geopolitical situation and its impact on the stability of our region and beyond," he said.
