Skopje, 23 March 2025 (MIA) - Inspections of facilities from a safety standpoint will be long-term and the focus will be on systemic solutions to these problems, said Government Spokeswoman Marija Miteva on Sunday.

"The aspect of licenses is a priority at this moment. Competent institutions will continue to carry out inspections in stages, in the long run. This will not be a one-off control and then inspections stop. As we could see, the requirements were met at the time when the licenses were obtained, specifically in the Ministry of Transport, but the regulations were then cheated. Hence, the continuity in the work of institutions," Miteva told a press conference.

According to her, inspectors were focused more over the weekend on the observance of the Government's mourning period decision.

"As of tomorrow, these teams will carry out the proper inspections and inform the public on the findings," noted Miteva.
