Gostivar, 21 February 2026 (MIA) - The Government is doing well, led by VMRO-DPMNE and including Vlen and ZNAM, said Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski on Saturday and added there is no need to hold early elections in the country.

"The Parliament's dissolution formally needs 61 MP votes. At this time, I see no need to hold early elections. In my discussions with the international community and the citizens, reforms are expected from this Government, and this is what the authorities are focused on - reforms," PM Mickoski told reporters.

He said that although early elections suit VMRO-DPMNE, priority is given to delivery of reforms for a better life of citizens.

On the procedure of electing a Chief Prosecutor, the PM said there is still no decision "and the public will be informed once it is made".
