Skopje, 21 February 2025 (MIA) - The Macedonian tourism potential was showcased at the 46th International Tourism Fair held in Belgrade through a representative stand with the participation of the municipalities of Gevgelija, Dojran, Ohrid and Struga, said the Agency for Promotion and Support of Tourism.

“In terms of transit tourism, since Serbians travel to neighboring Greece, the Macedonian tourism sector is enriching its offer to encourage them to stay longer in Macedonia. Increased visits to vineyards in the wine region have been recorded, as well as visits to Dojran, Gevgelija and other cultural landmarks along E75,” the Agency said.

The Agency remarked that the fair in Belgrade annually attracts more than 400 exhibitors from around 30 countries, as well as over eight thousand professionals from the tourism industry. The fair boasts over 50.000 visitors.
