Kumanovo, 16 April 2025 (MIA) — The Kumanovo Theater will perform "Briar Rose" at 6 pm to celebrate five years of the children's play on its stage.

According to the theater in a press release, "Briar Rose" has since become the local children's favorite play.

"We are truly proud and happy this play is still running at our theater and the audience's interest has not waned. Each new generation brings new energy and new experiences. This gives us the strength and inspiration to continue," said cast member Vladanka Krstevski.

The actors have also performed it abroad. On May 13, the cast will perform "Briar Rose" at the Magic Curtain Children's Theater International Festival in Trgovishte, Bulgaria.

"We hope we will represent our theater and our city well. Children's plays always stir special excitement, both in us actors and in our audience," Krstevski said.

In addition to her, the "Briar Rose" cast includes Sanja Ruseska, Zharko Jovanovikj, Marko Trajkovikj, Nina Maksimova, David Ilikj and Vlado Dojchinovski.

The play's director is Bojana Kraljevska. The story was adapted for the stage by Zoran Zafirovski. The set was designed by Krsto Bogojevski and the costumes were designed by Darko Ilievski. Aleksandar Mitrichki is responsible for the music. mr/
