Tel Aviv, 25 January 2025 (dpa/MIA) - The Palestinian Islamist organization Hamas has handed over four more Israeli hostages to the International Committee of the Red Cross in the Gaza Strip, live images on Al Jazeera showed on Saturday.

According to a previously released list, the hostages are the female soldiers Liri Albag, Naama Levy, Karina Ariev and Daniella Gilboa.

The four female soldiers were scouts at the Nahal Oz base near the Gaza Strip border and were abducted by militants during the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, 2023.

The Israeli military said reception points have been set up where the hostages are to receive initial medical care and personal support, before being taken to hospitals and reunited with their families.

Israel is to release a group of Palestinian prisoners in return for the four hostages.
