Foreign Minister Mucunski holds meetings with Austrian, Greek ambassadors 

Skopje, 27 January 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski held separate meetings Monday with the Austrian Ambassador to North Macedonia, Martin Pammer, and Greek Ambassador Sophia Philippidou.

According to the Ministry, at the meeting with Ambassador Philippidou, interlocutors expressed joint readiness for further promotion of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.

“As immediate neighbors and NATO allies, Mucunski and Philippidou affirmed the importance of enhancing good neighborly relations and securing regional stability, security and prosperity, through complete EU integration of the region. A special emphasis was placed on cooperation in the field of defense, infrastructural connections, energy, culture, tourism, and, above all, the economy. Additionally, it was noted that Greece is becoming one of the biggest trade partners of our country,” the Ministry said in a press release.

At the meeting with Ambassador Pammer, according to the Ministry, the FM and the Ambassador reaffirmed the traditionally strong cooperation between Austria and North Macedonia. An emphasis was placed on maintaining political dialogue and increasing cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. Mucunski and Pammer assessed opportunities for the enhancement of economic relations through the intensification of cooperation with the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber and strengthening trade relations, the Ministry said.
