Skopje, 4 February 2025 (MIA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres in New York on Monday. 

In a Facebook post, Mucunski said that during the meeting at the UN's headquarters he has highlighted the organization's significant role at a time of complex global challenges, including armed conflicts, human rights violations, terrorism, violent extremism, new technologies and climate change.

"As regards the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals, we jointly agreed that the Pact for the Future represents an opportunity to strengthen global governance and respond to current and future challenges. I stressed that as a country, we remain ready to make an active contribution to strengthening multilateralism and promoting global dialogue. I reaffirmed our strong commitment to the principles of the UN Charter, respect for human rights, the rule of law and democracy, especially now as a Human Rights Council member," Mucunski posted on Facebook.
